The combination of these musical worlds has given rise to his original sound, which combines <strong>melancholic, fluffy jazz with alternative hip-hop and soul.<\/strong> <br\/><br\/>Since the release of his debut album Antiphon in 2017, Alpha has established himself as <strong>one of the UK\u2019s most distinctive musical voices<\/strong>. He\u2019s collaborated with musicians such as <strong>Tom Misch<\/strong> and <strong>Jordan Rakei<\/strong>, drummer <strong>Richard Spaven<\/strong>, producer <strong>Lester Duval<\/strong> and singer <strong>Emmavie<\/strong>. Alpha doesn\u2019t fit and probably doesn\u2019t want to fit into any particular genre, as his music includes everything from hip-hop beats to producing for artists such as rapper Loyle Carner, composing neo-classical pieces for the London Contemporary Orchestra, and reworking compositions by composer \u00d3lafur Arnalds.<br\/><br\/>He released his latest album, <strong>Bring Backs<\/strong>, in 2021 and currently runs his own label, <strong>Sekito<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Acid Arab - Live At 2ND SUN - The Grand Factory, Beirut (Full Concert)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UbqhHBvT6hQ?start=2059&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Acid Arab (FR)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ten years ago, a band like no other emerged from the <strong>Parisian transcultural cauldron<\/strong>. <strong>French-Algerian collective Acid Arab<\/strong> was born when Pierre-Yves Casanova, Nicolas Borne, Herv\u00e9 Carvalho, Guido Minisky, and Kenzi Bourras met. With their intoxicating blend of edgy Western electronic music with Eastern sounds and vocals, they gradually managed to win over and enchant audiences at festivals and clubs around the world. And how could they not, when they are perhaps the only ones of their genre? In their own words, <strong>their main goal is to create a space for Arabic culture in the world of contemporary electronica.<\/strong> After releasing a few EPs on the Versatile label, they signed with Crammed Discs and released their great debut album \u201cMusique de France\u201d in 2016 followed by \u201cJdid\u201d in 2019. In their relatively short time, Acid Arab have played hundreds of shows in more than fifty countries on four continents. Earlier this year, they released their long-awaited third album \u201d \u0663 (Trois)\u201d, <strong>which they will also bring to Mlad\u00ed lad\u00ed FEST.<\/strong>   <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"MonoNeon - &quot;Invisible&quot; music video (directors cut)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xgG9wZPnf6k?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MonoNeon (US)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The American bassist Dywane Thomas Jr. aka <strong>MonoNeon<\/strong> is unmissable with his eccentric image and unmistakable music, for which critics have coined the term <strong>avant-funk.<\/strong> In October he is <strong>finally coming to Prague<\/strong> with his solo project! The Memphis native and one of <strong>Prince\u2019s last collaborators<\/strong> <strong>has a Grammy Award<\/strong> for his participation in <strong>rapper Nas\u2019<\/strong> King\u2019s Disease album, and <strong>Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers<\/strong> himself has called him the best of bassists. One of his most recent singles, Quilted!, featured a guest appearance by the King of Funk, <strong>George Clinton<\/strong>. A couple of weeks ago, he checked in with a great album, Jelly Belly Dirty Somebody. Once she was old enough, she moved to <strong>NYC<\/strong>, then to <strong>London<\/strong>, and finally to <strong>Berlin<\/strong>. Prior to her solo career, she was part of the One Self project on the <strong>Ninja Tune label<\/strong>. Yarah has collaborated and shared the stage with artists such as <strong>Talib Kweli, Manu Chao, Grand Master Flash, Mos Def, De La Soul, and more<\/strong>. His music crosses all sorts of genre boundaries, mixing traditional soul influences with electronic production, and incorporating elements from future beats to progressive RnB. Since moving from Auckland to Berlin in 2015 he has collaborated with artists such as <strong>Jordan Rakei and Shiloh Dynasty<\/strong>. (BE) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Belgians ECHT! are all <strong>rooted in jazz<\/strong> and <strong>mix electronic and hip-hop<\/strong> into their music. But it\u2019s all live, using instruments and the human element. ECHT! are known for their explosive live shows, as evidenced by the fact that our programmers booked them for the Mlad\u00ed lad\u00ed fest after seeing them play at the <strong>Eurosonic showcase<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During 2020, the band won the \u201cFresh on the Scene\u201d award from Red Bull Elektropedia and is gradually building a growing reputation across Europe.  <strong>Fun fact! No one in the band is originally from Brussels.<\/strong> Bassist Federico Pecoraro is from Italy, keyboardist Dorian Dumont is from France and drummer Martin M\u00e9reau and guitarist Florent Jeunieaux are from Mons, Belgium. Interesting, isn\u2019t it? Maria\u2019s solo work is a fragile realm made up of synths, samples, a streamlined voice, and an electronic beat.  <strong>It\u2019s indescribable\u2026 You have to hear it!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"metastavy - observato\u0159\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DIvhSIyAKQk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Metastavy (CZ)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Metastavy.<\/strong> That\u2019s when the other guy talks. <strong>The voice inside. <\/strong>Listen in? Or silence it? <strong>Gentle lyrics about normal things<\/strong>, where even a sweater can become a metaphor, <strong>underlined by a bass line that weaves between drums<\/strong>. It\u2019s all drenched in   <strong>keyboard and synth tones.<\/strong> A playful <strong>combination of neo-soul and lo-fi hip-hop with a pop twist.<\/strong> The group consists of Anna Hokesova, Nodin P\u00e9ci, Ashley Abrman, and Marek Pach \u2013 four people from three different countries who met in Prague and released their first album <strong>When I Grow Up<\/strong> in 2019 in the original line-up with Ursula Sereghy,  <strong>with which they were nominated for the Vinyl Award in the Discovery of the Year category.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"President Room Prague x Aid Kid live set\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xjMl3wAoHY8?start=1610&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aid Kid DJ set (CZ)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The darling of all Prague alt parties and a <strong>great producer Aid Kid<\/strong> probably doesn\u2019t need much introduction. However\u2026 Behind the pseudonym Aid Kid hides musician, producer, and DJ Ondra Mikula. After the release of his first two singles, he became a <strong>rising star of the Prague electronic scene<\/strong>. He was a guitarist in the band D\u011bti mezi repr\u00e1kama and a part of the creative core of the band Zv\u00ed\u0159e jm\u00e9nem Podzim. He is also involved in stage and film music and, together with composer and producer Pjoni, is the <strong>winner of the Czech Lion Award<\/strong> for the music for the film Arv\u00e9d. <strong>He will perform an original DJ set at Mlad\u00ed lad\u00ed FEST.<\/strong>    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Meowlau X Val - STRANGER (Official Video)\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ek1sDpCzdWc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meowlau x Val (SK)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Slovak duo Meowlau X Val combine drum\u2019n\u2019bass with pop and their songwriting and sound sounds like a world class production.
